♦ divide the second equation by 3, thus
♪ c*x1 +x2 =0, and
♫ (2/3)*x1 +x2=0;
♥ subtract (♪)-(♫), thus c*x1 -(2/3)*x1 =0, hence c=2/3;

(2/3)x1 + x2= 0
c = 2/3

wouldn't c just equal (2/3) ?
