I think that Billups will stay. Joe cleared cap room when he let Ben go. Plus Billups is not going to get the big contract he wanted after his poor performance in the playoffs this year. Not to mention he is 31 and the majority of P.G.'s hit their prime at 29-30.
Webber seems to be happy here. I think as long as he doesn't demand some huge contract we might keep him. He would be a great replacement for Dice, who I think is leaving.

From what Dumars has been saying about his talks with Billups, there's a very good chance the Billups is going to stay. I've heard that Billups said that he wants to "retire a Piston". The other teams that he'd fit don't seem to have enough cap room to sign him; Detroit would offer the best money in that regard anyways.
It's said that Webber is likely to retire, but if he doesn't, it's no guarantee where he's going; the Pistons will have sort of a tight roster, with two draft picks, the possibility of Acker coming back, so might not be any space for Webber.

Why does Billups have the mouth of a horse, and I heard Chris Webber is going to retire and become the national spokesperson for "time out" when kids are bad.

The Pistons are degressing. They are reportedly shopping Rasheed Wallace one of their better offensive and deffensive players because of all his technicals. Webber could retire but I think he'd be more likley to head to Phoenix, Dallas, or San Antonio because they are championship teams that could get him that ring. Billups will leave for someplace with more monney. I think this is a long shot but he could end up either a Cavalier or a Laker after free agency. The Cavs need to put Daniel Gibson at shooting guard since he is a shoot first guy and the Lakers just need a lot of help to keep Kobe happy. Him on either of these teams would help a lot. Especially if the Lakers get Jermaine O'Neal. The Pistons lost a lot with Ben Wallace leaving and now it all depends on whether they trade Rasheed. If they keep Rasheed that means that Chauncy and Chris are more likely to come back. Hey I got another idea though........ Chauncy to Denver then they could move AI to shooting guard (his natural position) and they would be a definiate contender with the added perimeter defense of Billups. But either way the Pistons could be dead next year with only 2 of their current starters coming back (possibly).

You know what, it doesn't even matter anymore. The NBA is becoming the WWE or WWF depending on which era we are talking about. Unless you have a superstar on your team you really don't have much of a shot. The Cavs will probably be back in the finals again next year because that is how the script goes. This was their year to get to the finals to get a taste of what it is like. Then next year they will either be more competetive or win the Championship. Teams like the Pistons have to do a better job of marketing their players and make them into superstars or go out and get a superstar.

I would probably say he stays but the Bucks and Magic can throw alot of $$ his way. The Pistons are already over the cap so it becomes a question of how far over are they willing to go. Either way you can count out the Lakers and Cavs getting him because they are over the cap and would have to work a sign and trade. The Pistons I think would be smart not to sign him to a big contract. He is 31, rarely drives to the basket and looks like he is getting worse.

Whether he'll leave or not depends on what's the situation behind closed doors in Detroit. In some cases a player will bite the bullet and stay because he wants that ring, and in other cases it's not worth it. The money is better elsewhere. No one expected Wallace to leave. Everybody thought he was in a great situation out there in Detroit. Time will tell and believe me MONEY TALKS.

Billups will go where the money is. He like the D, but a job is a job and money is money.

the Pistons would be stupid to let him leave over money, so I expect him to stay. Webber should put us all out of our misery and retire.
