The three CSI's, NCIS, and the Law & Orders are the best. The States really does excel in these types of programme. Leaves the UK standing.

Sorry your tv is on the blink. Bummer.
But yeah, I love NCIS. Never really got into CSI, but was a fan of JAG so thought I'd check out the spin-off and ended up really liking it.
I agree, Abby is pretty awesome. She cracks me up. I love the Gibbs/Abby relationship.

I love all the CSI's. I've watched a couple of episodes of NCIS and it was pretty good too. I don't get a chance to watch to much tv though..

I Love CSI, totally addicted especially Miami & Las Vegas. Good for you! When you finished studying it you will live the story you missed on the telly. Maybe you should buy the series as they come out

Yes. And actually I think NCIS is MUCH better than CSI. The characters are just so much more entertaining. I hate most of CSI's characters.

Good luck with that. Make sure you get good grades in Chemistry and Maths as you will need those subjects in particular if you go on to study a Forensic Science degree as opposed to forensics and another subject combined.
Have to agree with Yodadoe - David Caruso ruins CSI:Miami for me. I would watch it religiously if it were not for him. He is a poor actor. Slowingly removing or putting on your shades does not constitute dramatic acting nor does standing with your legs akimbo and hands on hips while your 'posse' find blatantly obviously clues - Delco found a half-smoked cigarette butt one time and I wonder how it hadn't been trampled or lost by the cops and paramedics who must have arrived on scene prior to them. Amazing! Love CSI Vegas and NY. Could do without the Sarah Sidle character. Another one who thinks good acting is simply looking confused/constipated at all and sundry. (and yes I have heard the buzz from the US that she never showed up to film the cliff-hanger for the season finale - she was a tad miffed - HA!HA!) SVU - well scripted and acted. Love Elliot and Olivia.

CSI NY and Vegas are best IMO. Miami has pretty lame actors. It's a great show though :) Very entertaining.
