What exactly do you want to know. If you pop onto Google earth you can look at your mothers village or town from the satallite. Ha Bac is just north of Hanoi and looks like a nice place. More city that village. resolution is not great though. Most of the country side is not that clear. but the big cities you can spot the make of a car in the driveway.
