I really think it would be fun and I would love to get some exercise (I'm not fat, but I'm no toothpick, either). But here's the catch: when I think about it, there might be some bad parts. For one thing, I'm not EXTREMELY flexible, so I probably won't make the squad. Secondly, I have a twisted spine, and I might have to do surgery sometime during the year, and I will have to give up cheerleading and all, and thirdly, I might not be able to attend practice. I don't know what days or times they are, but I have dance lessons that start at 5:00 PM (though practice should end no later than 4:15, I expect). My mom and dad work full-time jobs, and my babysitter is really the only one who can take me. Oh, and what about my other interests? I like drama and singing, and I might not be able to do them if I cheer...I still don't know the schedule, so I'm not positive. I want to make my decision soon, so that if I decide to try out, I can start practicing my jumps and all that. Please, help?!?!?!

I'm a cheerleader for my school....i think u can do it...u dint have to be a toothpick...not at all! u dint have to be that flexible either....just practice doing splits while watching t.v....when ever u have time...u will get better at jumps.....u dint have to be able to do a full back flip...so theres no worries there....i really cant help u whit the spine thing....sry...about the practice thing...talk to the coach about it [if u do make it] and telll that things r going on...she willl try to help u...u can also get together with friends that r on the squad to help u with things u missed.....car pulll is a great way not to get into your parents schedule...just ask friends to help out....just try your best...do the thing that u love and would love to keep on doing...remember that the coaches r there to help...so dont be scared to ask.....

hope that helped u some how....GOOD LUCK!!

Sounds to me that you can't give 100% if you will be missing practices and maybe even leaving the team at sometime. Cheerleading is a team sport and the other squad members will be affected too when you miss (or leave). I have a rule at my house, "Give 100% to one thing, not 50% to two". This is only my answer though. The real answer will have to come from you. Good luck to you in your new school.

Talk to the coach. That is the only person who can say for sure if it will work out. :^)
