My sister was sixteen when she witnessed the birth of her niece.
She's practiced safe sex ever since.

It could be, but on some it could have the opposite affect. Moat of the time yes, they see how hard it is to take care of a child, I babysit, and it can be really difficult sometimes, so I think it can discourage teen pregnancy.

Well: 1) Mandatory Parental Classes for people under 18 until the age of 18 to qualify for medicaid and health care benefits for the kid 2) Sex Ed Classes 3) Capability to backdate child support for the father even in the days that he's an adolescent 4) Give power back to the parents to stop their kids from making stupid choices

how is babysitting going to dicourage teen pregnancy? first off, i love babysitting. its fun, and the kids really start to bond with you. second, the type of teen who get pregnant arnt the ones babysitting, theyr the ones making out at the mall or the park, if you get my point.

yes! i know because i wanted kids as soon as i turned 13 and my mom started letting me babysit (all ages from the youngest age she could find to about 5 and even older) just to give me a taste of what its like and i changed my mind very quickly! so try it but all ways watch.

if teenage pregnancy would happen because of the fact that they want kids, yes. but it doesn't happen like that.
i don't think that teenagers get pregnant because they want to have a child. it's probably because they don't use any protection.

No, I don't think so! I think I got pregnant when I was babysitting, after the kids were asleep.

in some ways it would encourage it. teens find babies cute and it may make some of them want it more. it would turn some away but it would not be a fix. good luck.
