my fish is just 1" in length in a 75 gallon tank. he does not have any companion except for my 2 plecos. i think that he isnt eating because the food that i gave him this morning (3 pcs of pellets) were unmoved. what shoud i do? the pellets that i give him is the usual food given by the original owner of the fish..

How long have you had the fish? If less than a week I wouldn't worry too much honestly. If over that it could be an indication of water quality problems or a potential for disease.

Try giving him the Spectrum brand fish food. Thats what i feed all my cichlids, and they all love it. Its the first type of food that all my cichlids seem to love. It comes in different sizes too. If that doesnt work, try brine shrimp, if that still doesnt work, then im sorry i got no answers.

just give the fish live foods like worms or small guppies
