I have tried dish soap and water, I don't want to break them or throw them away. Any suggestions? They won't budge.

Cold water in the top one to contract it, then put the 2 of them (cold water & all) in some hot water Up to almost the top of the outer bowl) to expand the bottom bowl. This will change the sizes just enough to separate them.

Put ice in the top bowl. Fill the sink with some hot water (1-2 inches, so only part of the bottom bowl is in the water), and place the bowls in the sink. The heat will expand the bottom bowl and the ice will shrink the top enough to pull them apart. Let them sit like that for a few minutes before you try though.

Try heating the bottom bowl by placing it in warm or hot water. This will cause it to expand and hopefully the top bowl will come out. You can also try oil by itself or with the above method. Take a little oil (cooking oil will be fine) and pour a little where the 2 bowls meet. Good luck!

This may work and it is just a scientific theory. If you put ice, water and salt in the top bowl and place the bottom bowl in hot (NOT boiling) water, the top bowl will contract and the bottom bowl will expand thereby freeing your bowls. CAUTION:There is a danger with with sudden temperature changes of breaking the bowls.

You may try spraying some Pam or non-stick spray along the 2 stuch edges & gently try to budge them....Let the spray sit for a few minutes before trying to seperate, to allow the oil to seep between the edges.

I would fill a sink with water & let them soak in it, keep trying to pull them apart - even a little, and let the water continue to seep into the empty space. It may take awhile -

Fill the bowl with ice cubes, and let it stand a few minutes. The cold temprature will make the bowl contract and it will release easily.

put them in the freezer. This also works for candles that are over and done at the bottom of a glass container or jar, it comes right out.
