Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, or Brady Quinn. I hope it's not Frye. I think Derek Anderson is better than Frye. Quinn is not ready yet. Frye has proved he can't lead the team. Anderson should probably start and mentor Brady Quinn.

Frye should start out the season. Hopefully Brady shows enough in preseason and practice to warrant some playing time during the season.

I'm a Steelers fan so take this for what it's worth. Quinn has the best background. Under Charlie Weis, Quinn ran an NFL type offense with few weapons aside from Jeff Samardzija. We all have seen Charlie Frye's "attempt" at starting last year, it wasn't pretty. Anderson would have to be the closest to Quinn's skill. Quinn, however, is the future face of that franchise so why should they put it off? Let's face it, the Browns aren't going to take the division this year and they probably won't make the playoffs. If they start Anderson for like 2 years, what's the point. For all the work they put into acquiring Quinn in the draft, they might as well let do what he was drafted to do.

How can you blame Charlie Frye for the problems in Cleveland. No matter what quarterback you put in, they cant throw while laying on there back. Charlie Frye is the guy in Cleveland and will prove this when they get some blocking going on in Cleveland. Brady Quinn is probably gonna be the quarterback of the future, but its Frye now. They need to keep Quinn on the sideline, holding a clipboard for a couple of seasons. No need to rush him. Cleveland does not need to turn him in to another Tim Couch.

M D, i could not agree more with what you said. Don't make Quinn start yet, he has to take time to learn the system. Face it, look at many of the great QB's, they all took time to learn the system. Theres no way the browns will take their division, so why not have Frye or Anderson start. I personally like Frye, but I have never watched a Browns game so I don't really know whos better

Charlie Frye until the Browns loose 2 or 3 games, then with the pressure of being fired Crennel will roll the dice and play Brady Quinn the rest of the season.

Derek Anderson has less experience than Charlie Frye...Brady Quinn is the best option for the future...If he plays enough, he's Rookie of the Year...

Well they are all gonna be in a battle for the starting job. However it'll come down between Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson with who ever has the better preseason.

I'd say put Anderson out there for the first 5 games and if he is doing good keep him out there. but if he ain't send in Quinn. Charlie Frye sucks the browns gave him a few years and he hasn't panned out.

Quinn, whats the piont in starting frye its not like he's an established vet that can give them a much better chance to get to the playoffs. Start getting quinn the experience for next year and see if you can play. It would be different if they had a proven expienced QB. but for now see if quinn can win the job.

You mean Frye has proven that he can't lead a team that doesn't have an offensive line or a running game? I doubt you could name me a QB who could "lead the team" under those circumstances.

Frye and Anderson both have two years inthe league. Let's compare:

Frye: 20 starts, 62.8% completion rate, 71.5 passer rating
Anderson: 5 games, 56.4% completion rate, 63.1 passer rating

Now I'll grant you that Anderson's stats are skewed by one really terrible outing against Tampa Bay last season. But Frye's stats are also skewed because he had no O-line or running game worth a dang.

Brady Quinn is the most NFL-ready QB in last year's draft, but it would benefit him & the team in the long run if he didn't start right away. Unless something dramatic happens in TC, Frye is your starter. Honestly, you could do a lot worse (go ask a Raiders or Dolphins fan.)
