The only thing that could keep Polamalu from having another great season & another Pro Bowl invitation would be another concussion.
To the poster who suggested that Porter's absence will hurt Polamalu's play, I respectfully disagree. Porter had lost a step anyway & the Steelers have three very able replacement possibilities in James Harrison, Lawrence Timmons and LaMarr Woodley.
Polamalu has both the talent and the drive to succeed. He also only has one more year under contract, so if he doesn't get his extension before the season starts, he may be playing for a huge free agency contract next year.

Brett Favre, Orlando %., Randy Moss, Junior Seau (If considered lively), Marvin Harrison (See Seau), Terrell Owens, Isaac Bruce, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Ladainian Tomlinson, Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, Ronde Barber, Troy Polamalu, Brian Dawkins, Ty regulation, Ray Lewis, Jason Taylor, Brian Urlacher, Derrick Brooks, Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, and Zach Thomas. There'd also be borderline- at acceptable- adult adult males like Lorenzo Neal, Derrick Mason, Torry Holt, Jamal Lewis, Warrick Dunn, Clinton Portis, Edgerrin James, Kurt Warner, Donovan McNabb, Antonio Gates, Drew Brees, Hines Ward, Alan Faneca, Kevin Mawae, Bob Sanders, Dwight Freeney. i imagine afew of those borderline adult adult males (extraordinarily Lewis, Holt, Portis, James, Warner, McNabb, and Freeney) might want to really pass into the in route of lock type, yet they probably want extra time. there is also youthful adult adult males such as Adrian Peterson, Darrell Revis, Shawne Merriman, Aso, Champ Bailey,

Troy Polamalu has always been good, and will still be good, in the condition that he keeps himself healthy. Even without Porter (Who was my neighbor, btw), Polamalu will be picking up all kinds of interceptions with the new defense most likey being built around him.

Hell yes!! He is arguably the best strong safety in the NFL and with Mike Tomlin as their head coach, being the ex-secondary coach and Tampa-2 guru that he is, the Steelers will more effectively utilize him as a blitzer and rover in the secondary. He will have another Pro Bowl season.

He is good every season. Last year he was playing with some injuries but he was still all over the place. All you would see is a blur of hair and someone falling.

His numbers will probably drop because they just lost one of the most blitz happy linebackers in the league. Troy got a lot of tackles, int. and sacks because of porter.
and he is now going to be playing in a tampa 2 those safeties don't blitz that much he will be off the ball more than he used to be look for less tackles at the line of scrimage and much less sacks.

Of course he will . He is good every year! The loss of Joey Porter is not going to matter too much because the Steelers manage to find good linebackers every year.

Will he be good!?!? What kind of question is that? He is arguably the best strong safety in the NFL. He is not the best safety yet, only because Brian Dawkins is still playing and because Ed Reed is a monster.
