I want to plan a 2008 vacation revolving around Beatles history/nostalgia. Any advice/locations? In the U.K., U.S., anywhere! Thanks!

I can't think of locations off the top of my head, but I've been watching the Anthology DVD's recently and they follow the major events and thus locations of their career. Plus the dvds are just a lot of fun to watch. I would maybe look to those for ideas.
A couple things that come to mind are if the Cavern still exists, that was the club they played all the time when they really started to get big. Also, if there is any sort of Abbey Road tour things you can do. That would be really cool I bet. You could go to Liverpool and see where they grew up.
I'll add to it if I think of any more.

Strawberry Field was a Salvation Army orphanage in Woolton, England, founded in 1936. Strawberry Field has had an annual fête, which John Lennon and his aunt Mimi regularly attended. It closed its doors as a children's home in early January, 2005 and is now a church and prayer centre. The famous gates marking its entrance still stand.

The Cavern Club is a rock and roll club at 10 Mathew Street, Liverpool, England, where Brian Epstein was introduced to the Beatles on 9 November 1961. The club opened on January 16, 1957.

You could do worse than going to London and Liverpool. They'll keep you busy for a long time, but if you have the time and money, go to Hamburg, Germany and New York City as well. All four of these places are brimming with Beatle stuff.
