Double standard, double-minded. Which is why many of them are unstable.

O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Rosie and Olbermann all suck. All liberals hold Rosie in high esteem? This question should have been posted in the joke category.

I ran across an essay online by a real liberal. Not the neolib who haunts Y/A...I had a great respect for what he wrote...I did not agree with everything but I respected it.
So my answer is that a true liberal does not hold people like Rosie and Olbermann in high esteem but instead dislikes them in the extreme.

I don't know anyone who holds Rosie O'Donnell in high esteem. Cons keep saying this, but I've never met a liberal who actually likes her any more.

Olbermann... I don't know enough about him to have an opinion.

So am I allowed to bash O'Reilly and Limbaugh?

Same reason conservatives do the opposite, because they agree with them.

The difference of course is liberals don't take every word Olbermann and Rosie say as gospel. They are able to think for themselves. It is just the general philosophy we agree with. On the other hand, if Limbaugh or O'Reilly, claim that they crap roses, then all conservaives fall in line with the mantra.

Because O'Reilly and Limbaugh are partisan editorialist. They spout their opinion but don't have the facts to back up their assertions. O'Donnell is pretty much the same in this regard, she states her opinion, which is to be expected since she is on a show which is centered on expressing your opinions. Olbermann is a journalist and while he editorializes as well with his "special comments" he also uses facts to support his arguements.

I don't know about Olbermann, but I don't think anyone holds Rosie in high esteem, I don't know why you would even think that

Do 'they'? I don't know who liberals are! Labels are absolutely misleading and inappropriate without knowing everything about everyone. I prefer to not bash anyone, not call myself anything and always listening to as many viewpoints and studying aspects about various issues as I can before making up my mind about what is best for me, my family and my country. All the talking heads are simply filters and there is usually much more information available than what all of them from every viewpoint together give and I suggest that we all learn to do more of our own research.

For the same reasons conservatives bash Rosie and Olbermann and support Rush and O'Reilly, they attack those they disagree with and hold in esteem those they agree with.

When has Olbermann ever insulted anyone? When has Rosie (with exception of Donald Trump) ever insulted anyone?

Finally, have they ever treated any of their guests like crap? Even the one's they've disagreed with they were respectful to.

When Rosie was on O'Reilly and O'Reilly was on the View, she was very civil both times without resorting to obnoxious behavior and ad hominem attacks.

There ya go.

I can't stand any of those you named. But I sure would like to see mealy-mouth Limbaugh go head to head with loudmouth Rosie! I should say mouth to mouth--more apropos.
