Jimmy "the Weisel" Frattiano claimed that Giancana (the then Boss of Bosses out of Chicago) gave the go ahead for Marcello (of New Orleans) to carry out the assassination. It involved Castro (who had a grudge after finding out the CIA was behind the Bay of Pigs Invastion) so he got a patsy (Oswald) from the Russians to carry-out the deed. Marcello's beef was a result of RFK's investigations into organized crime. To cover the link to the Mafia, Marcello had Jack Ruby (a two bit night club owner in the Marcello organization) take out Oswald to seal his lips.
Giancana's beef with JFK was his impression that JFK renigged on promises to leave the Mafia alone since he felt he pulled strings in Chicago to get him elected.
Several weeks before the assassination, Oswald met with Cuban agents in Mexico. For inexplicable reasons, the FBI agents who were following up the Cuban connection as a part of the Warren Commission investigation, were recalled

Well personnally i believe that it was a conspiracy. If you look at the Zupurtar (sorry if I misspelled) film, you will notice that the second and fatal shot that killed JFK was from his foward right hand side. This couldn't have been Oswald alone because it was said and proven that Oswald was to JFK's rear right hand side, unless Oswald had some magic bullets.

Why is it that so many people don't like the answer that is out there, has been out there and will likely remain out there?
There are many wonderful and interesting conjectures as to what really happened. There are many seemingly related 'facts' that point to the possible involvement of countless groups and individuals.
The Local, State and Federal authorities displayed amazing amounts of incompetence while conducting the investigation and after. Group incompetence does not rise to the level of conspiracy - That implies a level of actual ability.
Give it a rest or go watch an Oliver Stone Movie

Oswald. There is no way any politician could keep something like that secret for that long. They all like to have the publicity of "blowing a whistle." The government is just not as tight lipped as many give them credit for.
That being said, Oswald was a sad, anti-social man who wanted to make a name for himself. JFK was not his first attempt, just his first known successful one. "Ten days after being fired, Oswald attempted to assassinate General Edwin Walker with the rifle shown in his backyard pose photos of March 31. [1963]" (Wikipedia). He was also a communist and sympathized with the USSR and Cuba.
I also saw a program on A&E I believe that had a man Oswald's hight and weight walk the exact routes he walked that day and easily made it in the time alloted.
Life is simpler than we all want to believe.

*Yawn*
Lee Harvey Oswald

in the library.
Why do people keep trotting out these tired questions over and over again.
There is no evidence (only conjecture, rumour and enough rubbish to fill Wembley Stadium) to support anything other than a lone assassin in the form of Oswald.
****EDIT****
Your man below needs to keep up to date. The "magic bullet" theory so beloved of the conspiracy brigade has been shown to be a load of tosh over and over and over again. See the link attached.
****2nd EDIT****
and your man one below him obviously isn't in possession of the facts (or has ignored them). Oswald took three shots to kill JFK, so no great feat of skill or grouping there really. He had also been a US Marine and had passed his tests (just) for being a sharpshooter and marksman.

Communists infiltrated the secret service a decade before and needed to wait for the perfect time to kill the president.
Kennedy won the cuban missile crisis and we were about to win the moon race.
Soviet Union had to strike. The secret service mole leaked the motorcade route, vehicle speed, seating of the president, and awareness of the surrounding buildings and any vacancies.
The killer would have been happy enough to kill Jackie who was wearing lighter clothes and was more conspicuous.
Oswald thought he was shooting and scoring.
Jack Ruby killed Oswald but his real name is Rubinstein.

The reason that this is such an intriguing conspiracy is a combination of two factors. First, the crime was of such a high profile that its visibility was universal. Secondly, the evidence involved is just neboulous enough to support amny theories.
I am no expert on the subject, but in my very novie opinion, i Believe that Oswald was the killer but I believe there was a network behind him that aided in his actions. I believe this because very few successful conspirators or assaisins have evr worked alone.

I for one have self belief it replaced into certainly a conspiracy, and that i nevertheless imagine it replaced into our own authorities that did the deed. He and his brother were stepping on too many ft. there replaced into too a lot and too many evaluations and so-referred to as witnesses that had their thoughts discounted by the authorities investigator's, and a number of those human beings were threatened into protecting quiet, plus extremely some the abode videos taken were confiscated by no ability to be considered again. After being a vet of WW2 and bearing witness to the consistent propaganda being supplied by our leaders with regard to the conflict, I easily have little or no faith and have self belief of those human beings, and that i do no longer propose any certain celebration. an similar applies to the killing or MLK jr. flight 800, and the incident on 9/11. I also do no longer have self belief what has been printed with regards to Oklahoma city and the glaring bull at Waco. each and every this kind of incidents ended in extra authorities administration of the human beings and intrusion into their inner most lives.
