It's possible, but I doubt it. They take a few steps forward and one step back. So i wouldn't say they're on a roll. Still, they haven't even approached their potential this year so they may come together at the end of the season. The good news is they only need to have a halfway decent record to make the playoffs, like the champion Cardinals last year. They just have to be awesome to win in the postseason.

I wouldn't say they're on a roll (they're not that hot), but they are doing a little bit better. They need to be more consistent. Most likely they will ahve to try for the wildcard because the Brewers are going to win the Central and the Mets will win the East leaving them to battle with the Braves for the Wildcard. Anything is possible, especially in the weak NL.

I to am a Cubs fan,but I am not sure if they will be in the World Series,Mets,Braves,Dodgers, will be hard to overcome, the offense is good but we still need better pitching.300 mil. does not mean a World Series berth.Still there is hope, would love to see the Cubs in the big dance!

They might catch the Brewers and get into the playoffs but I doubt they can beat the Mets, Braves, Dodgers, Padres or Diamondbacks, so playoff bound maybe, World Series wait until 2008.

If the Cubs can make it to the world series, so can the Yankees.

I think its too early to say.
Just because "they're on a roll" doesn't mean its going to last.
The mets haven't been doing that great the past few games, but I still think they might get into the playoffs at least.

How about to the playoffs first? I believe they have a shot but they will have to pick-up a solid starting pitcher to get there. Realistically, I think the only way they can do it would be to win their division, I don't think they can make it as a wild card.

Of course they will. Tough loss last night, but too talented of a team not to win this division.

They could, especially with their weak division, but I doubt it. They need to play better fundamental ball, and get better relief pitching to have a shot.
