You might want to see if there are any Mediterranean restaurants near you. That food (kebabs, hummus, etc) tends to be healthier than some American food. Also, lots of restaurants will have a "lighter" menu, or items designated as healthy. Maybe you could ask your server when you sit down about healthy options. That way your dad will hear what they are, and might be more likely to order them.
In general, it sounds like your dad might not want to be on his diet, and unless you or some other family member wants to police him, he's going to order what he orders. All you can do is point out the healthy food to him, and hope he takes the hint.

Any resturant you go to will serve some healthy options such as salads, and some places have guilt free menus, you can also change your side from greasy french fries to steamed veggies. But the only healthy resturant I can think of is The Olive Garden.

Subways a good one. i know people who have dieted with the help of Subway and it works. Not to mension, if you find a sub u really like, it's hard to resist. and they actually fill u up, unlike some diets. the only problem, I'd say, is that it's a little expensive for a regular basis.

hi: I lived in Madrid for a twelve months and spent a week in Barcelona. The Catalan and Spanish delicacies is packed with seafood and clean vegetables. They cook dinner with olive oil, and consume olives for tapas. Their rioja pink wine and rueda white wines are great. In that total twelve months I in no way yearned for something American, different than for Thanksgiving..yet grew to become into waiting to reserve a turkey and served a favourite dinner to my Madrileno pals. you are going to adore their food. The menu al dia is your maximum suitable funds guess, it extremely is in many cases a familiar direction, 2nd direction, wine, coffee, and lightweight dessert.

Any bagel places (Panera) are better to eat out at. You can get soups, salads, and all kinds of stuff. Also, what about Subway??

I don't know if you have them where you are, but Sweet Tomatoes is good and you choose your own items.
