Not enough info. But anyway do the following steps

1. Have you a anti virus software package? No? Then get one and take those steps to check for a virus.
2. Do the same for spyware.
3. Check the memory of your computer. Is your hard drive full or near capacity?
4. Define slow, are you comparing your older computer to your friends brand new fast laptop?
5. As for the printer, go into the pronter properties and check the head alignment, nozzle check and clean the print heads.

Really need alot more indepth information as to what you were doing when all these problems started with your pc.

Otherwise you can send it out for psychological evaluation at your nearest computer store.

Have you tried runnning, "online scanner" Kaspersky Russia, rated # 1 in the world for virus detections. Run the complete scan, that can take upto two hours, depending on how many running processes & how many programs installed. If any virurses are found they will be killed in real time. Suggest you reboot your pc., and see if the problems go away.

could be a virus run a scan. as for the printer go into the printer console and do an alignment on it there will be a place that does this in there to fix it.
if no virus try deleteing your temp files(not in internet option) but in explorer itself. start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup.once started it will look as if nothing is happening but it is locating all the useless files in storage and will take a few mins. to do this. once it comes up click ok or delete then it will verify your intentions just click yes.
thia will help speed up your computer.
now tonight when you go to bed you will want to defrag the system.
use the same thing you used to get to disk cleanup on choose defragment instead/click analyze and when done click defrag and go to bed .this will take quite a few hours to do.

Could be malware. You can clean oput your computer following the steps below:

Firstly update and run your anti-virus product. You can also run a free online scan as well as some malware can actually corrupt or disable your resident security products. Here are a few online scans you can run:
Trend - http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Panda - http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm
Norton - http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?langid=ie&venid=sym

Second download, update and run scans using the following products:
SuperAntispyware
http://superantispyware.com/
Spybot S&D (free version requires manual updating)
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/
AVG AntiSpyware
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/20/lng/us/tpl/v5
Adaware from Lavasoft (free version requires automatic updating)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php

(These programs can be run in Safe Mode after downloading and updating)

Third, after cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process.

Lastly, you may also want to install the following tool. It is free and requires you to check for and enable updates manually once a week or so. It uses no system resources.
SpywareBlaster (inoculates, not a spyware removal tool)

================================
If you cannot get it removed after the above, you may want to join a tech group that specializes in providing manual instructions on malware eradication.

for the slow PC.. its most likely malware/spyware set to run st startup..

if you dont have a spyware scanner.. I recommend Ad-aware and Spybot search and destroy.. they're both free.. (though spybot is a little harder to understand at first)

if the programs are set to run at startup though, ad-aware and spybot will only be spinning thier wheels trying to remove them.. I'd also recommend startup contol panel (or msconfig on steroids I call it).. it breaks up just about everything that starts up into sections and you can uncheck and delete at will.. (link to it is below...)

if you aren't that comfortable trying it yourself, most computer stores generally have a set price for a system cleanout...and some of them show you how to keep your system clean after they're done
