1 year = 365 days
1 day = 24 hours
1 hour = 60 minutes
1 minute = 60 seconds
1 second = 1000 milliseconds

365*24*60*60*1000 = 31,536,000,000 milliseconds

There are 1000 milliseconds in a second.
There are 1000 * 60 = 60,000 milliseconds in a minute
There are 60,000 * 60 = 3,600,000 milliseconds in an hour
There are 3,600,000 * 24 = 86,400,000 milliseconds in a day
There are 86,400,000 * 365 =

31,536,000,000 milliseconds in a year

A good approximation using your calculator is pi x 10^7 seconds in a year, or in your case pi x 10^10 milliseconds

One day consists of 86,400,000 miliseconds.
The answer you are looking for though
Depends on your definition of a year.

A year as defined by consisting of 365 days?
31,536,000,000 milliseconds

A year as defined by consisting of 365 and 1/4 days (A TRUE YEAR)?
31,557,600,000 milliseconds

Leap Year(366 days)?
31,622,400,000 milliseconds

There are actually 365 and ¼ days in a year (which is why we use leap years). So based on that there is 8766 hours in a year, which is 525,960 minutes, which is 31,557,600.seconds, so there are 31,557,600,000.00 milliseconds in a year.

A good way to remember the rough answer is there are very roughly pi x 10^7 seconds in the year.

pi is 3.16

For milliseconds, multiply by a thousand - 3.16 x 10^10 (very roughly)

That approximates to 365.6 days in the year which is a bit out but for rough calculations I find this very handy!

1 year = 365 days
365 days = 8,760 hours
8,760 hours = 525,600 minutes
525,600 minutes = 31,536,000 seconds
31,536,000 seconds = 31,536,000,000 milliseconds
