Why bash Rush?

I would listen to Hannity too, but where I live, unless watching Fox News, Rush is all that comes on the radio in the way of conservative political commentary. He tolerates liberals and democrats pretty well on his calls... better than I ever would. He seems like a good guy generally speaking. So what is the problem with him? He makes pretty good sense most of the time, yet in every liberal response to a question on YA, Rush is bashed.

All I can say is that if people don't like him they can change the channel, or trun the radio off.

I would be interested to hear substantive rebuttals to what he says, but 99% of the comments criticize his weight and drug problem, not the substance of his arguments.

Truth be told, I have issues with Limbaugh, but I enjoy seeing how he gets under people's skin sometimes.

I believe that Rush gets bashed by "liberals" because he, in fact, bashes liberals.

I listen to both "liberal" and "conservative" talk radio, and find that on the more "liberal" Air America, they are much more tolerant to conservatives, than any "conservative" talk show on Fox. Many of the people on Air America say that a conservative caller will be put "to the front of the line," and I often hear more of them from time to time, than I hear "liberals." I do not hear Rush saying that he will put liberal callers to the front of the queue. He simply bashes them. But that is only one person's observation. I really think that you should listen to ALL points of view to come up with your OWN conclusion, and research the things that ANY talk radio personality is talking about, rather than take their word as gospel.

It all depends on your perspective. My issue with Rush is not his political leaning, it is his way of presenting "facts." If you listen to or read someone intelligent like George Will, you will see the difference between someone who makes a logical, rational argument by laying out all the facts and someone who is a propagandist like Rush. Also, Rush is a neo-con as opposed to a traditional conservative. Rush, O'Reilly and others like to bash the "mainstream" media for not presenting both sides of the issue but then they present the facts as one sided.

Oh and I know I will get 100 thumbs down on this from the Rush fans with blinders but I think the question asked for an opinion and this is mine.

The liberals oppose anyone who does not think like they do. Most of them have never even heard Rush, but he is well known for being Republican so they attack him. They get on YA and rant and spread propaganda endlessly.
I'll tell you of someone that is really great and that is Glenn Beck. He's on the radio and on CNNHL. He's Republican but doesn't believe we should always vote along party lines.

Because he is a drug addicted homosexual who left his wife when she was dying of cancer in the hospital, and hires young male prostitutes from third world countries. Now, I could forgive him for all of that...if he didn;t judge others for being the same way. As soon as he apologizes fr being a hypicrite, I will forgive him.
