Wait a minute! You don't care about your father's happiness? Money isn't everything. If you want to stop control of finances you should have paid more attention to your father and her before hand. The more you push with the money issue the closer you become to loosing your father! You must decide what is more important? Money or Dad??

Are her real father and mother alive?? How do they feel about this, are they going to just sit back and let it happen?? I like the Viagra answer. What a disgusting thought!!! Other than that, talk to a lawyer, or if you want to try something else before that, talk to some family members who could be your allies in the matter, maybe as a group you can convince her or him that what they are doing is crazy!! Good Luck

Ok well the first step in doing that is stop asking people here and talk to a lawyer. Since it is your step daughter I dont think there are any laws being broken but there maybe, lawyers are the issue

It really sounds as if the only problem you have with their impending marriage is the money. You must know that if your dad really wants to marry her he is going to, and nothing you say or do is going to stop him. Surely your father's happiness is more important to you than the money that you may one day inherit? If this is the case, speak to him, and tell him of your concerns, and perhaps he will change his Will so that you still do inherit. If you want to have any hope of inheriting, I would suggest that you try and support him, and not antagonize him, or you may find yourself disinherited anyway.Whether he marries this girl or not, he is still able to leave all his money to her if that is what he wants to do.

This reminds me of that song "I'm My Own Grandpaw". Sounds like she already has control of the family finances, along with everything else.

Well, write some kind of a will, or get him to agree on some contract. And get the advice of a lawyer about us rag-tag folks on Answers before you do anything. I'd go to a lawyer myself, see what my options are.

let them get married and you know that she just might go on before he does just make sure that he has a will in place before they do get married or talk to him about an prenuptial agreement that she is to read and sign before they get married
