You may have to replace the inner workings of the tank.
It really depends on exactly where the drip is coming from. You may only need to replace the flapper at the end of the chain. You may need to adjust the length of the chain to allow for a better seal.
Even after you replace all the inner workings of the tank, it may never quite work properly unless you make sure that you have exactly the right parts.
A plumber would be best to determine that, but there are universal kits that you can use. Sometimes they stop the leak but the toilet never quite flushes correctly again if the wrong parts are used or installed improperly.

I am assuming you mean one where the water constantly has to refill because it's leaking out of the tank into the bowl. Your problem is a defective 'stopper valve'. That's the large rubber device which trips open to allow the water to flush the toilet when you push the flush lever. There are many different types, but generally they are easy to replace. Remove the one you have (make sure that you prop up the float valve to stop the refill) and take it to a hardware store or similar and find a matching replacement to install.

you can look and see where the drip is coming form it could be your flapper
