Many people consider the Cleveland Cavaliers the most undeserving NBA team to ever make the Finals (it looks like they may be on to something!)
I want to know which NFL, NBA, and MLB team (no hockey, please) you thought was the most undeserving to reach the Finals in their respective sport. Obviously, you need to name a team that LOST in the Finals. Thanks.
NOTE: I'm not talking about conference championships, but rather, the Super Bowl, World Series, and NBA Finals. Thanks.

for Football, I would have to say the 1985-86 New England Patriots. Miami should have beaten them in the AFC Conference Title Game and would have given the Bears a better game in the Super Bowl.
I'm not much of a basketball fan, but I would have to say the 1999 New York Knicks. The Eastern Conference (with the exception of Detroit) has been weak since the end of the Bulls dynasty and the '99 Knicks put up no fight at all in the finals
In baseball, I would like to say the 2003 Florida Marlins who benefited from a Cubs collapse in the NLCS and a Yankees team exausted from a brutal ALCS against Boston to win the World Series as a wild card...I'd also like to say the 1981 LA Dodgers who won the World Series comming out of the National League during a split season in which the Reds owned baseball's best record and never even qualified for the playoffs....BUT, since you wanted a Title game loser, I'll give it to the 1989 SF Giants.
