Tiger Barbs can sometime be nippy towards other fish. Make sure there are plenty of plants and some caves for the fish to hide in and re-arrange the layout of the tank to break up any territory the fish may have established prior to the Gourami being added.

If you have never re-arragned the tank, or havent in a while, I can almsot guarantee that is the cause.

Another thing that has always helped me with ANY nippy fish is feeding the fish 2 small meals a day (morning and night) rather than 1 large meal each day.

Hope this helps :) Good luck!

That tank is so horribly overstocked it particularly is ridiculous. 2 gal is bare minimum for merely the betta on my own. of direction the tiger barb is nipping on the betta they're nippy fish and much greater so whilst no longer stored in ideal sized faculties of 6 or greater. return or provide away each and all of the fish however the betta.

That's the nature of tiger barbs for you. It might stop, but I seriously doubt it. Your only real option will be to remove one of the two fish.

Some fish do not get along with others do you have a place in the tank for the fish to hide like a rock with a large hole in it???

He shouldn't be in that tank! Tiger barbs are agressive and should not be with slow moving fish!
