When women were put on pedestals they were expected to look and think pretty. The person putting them on the pedestals understood that women were delicate creatures , and they could not be bothered to make tough decisions like opening doors or wasn't smart enough to pull a chair from under the table without a man's assistant. Then, some sister got tired of all that crap and refused to play the ridiculous little game and started making her own decisions and being self resilient. All of the sudden, the pedestal was kicked away, because she refused to stay in her place. She didn't deserve to be treated special if she wouldn't play up to society's expectations of her! Which was to be a spineless and brainless little puppet! Who needs a pedestal when you have a brain!

If women were truly deemed as unqualified to make decisions they couldn't be a woman, wife, or mother.

The concept is more wishful thinking and non-acceptance on the part of the insecure which usually causes divorce. So, better from where: divorce or marriage? As for the single that got pregnant or a man that had a child on the way with zero intentions to get married due to lust......that's a whole other bee's nest.

It is unhealthy to be on that pedestal because it will always keep you from being intimate. Like wise, it is unhealthy to put someone on a pedestal for the same reason.

It is a commentary on the long term effects of the feminist movement. Instead of wanting to be loved and taken care of by our male counterparts we would rather take matters in our own hands and order them around instead of accepting their love. We abuse our lovers that put us on a pedestal therefore the pedestal starts to break and fall down, women are taking the actions of men and there is no reason to raise them up, they are their equal at that point, not a treasure.

It is a sad thing in life indeed, I would much rather be on the pedestal and be loved and treasured than our in the world working like a pleb.

I have never heard of that saying. Women were never on pedestals. They are on the floor scrubbing it, cleaning the commode, and that is when they get home from work.

When women are treated like royalty, they act like rulers. If that practice is dying, it's because women are taking it for granted. (I just reject it completely.)

The want equality. They got it. They pretend like they still can be treated like Queens at certain times.
