Well, I own several varieties of very expensive roses and I water them at least every other day. Be sure to water them at night and water only the base of the plant as not to get water on the leaves. If you get some water on the leaves, then hopefully over night it will dry. You might see some yellowing on the leaves and that is from wetting the leaves. It is very important to fertilize, spray and "dead head" the roses. If you are not familiar with this, once a rose bloom dies, starting from the bloom, go down to the stem and cut just above the first set of five leaves. There are certain breeds of roses that are "self dead heading" and you do not need to do this. Most show and registered roses need dead heading. Roses are one of natures most beautiful sites, but there is a lot of work that goes into keeping them that way.

If you've just planted them then give them a big drink every other day for about 2 weeks. After that once a week is enough. Then next season you shouldn't have to water them at all unless it is really really hot and they look a little limp. Remember to water at the base in the morning because roses don't like to get wet.

If the weather is hot, water them about 3 times a week, if is not too hot, water them once a week, always using warm water.
