In a no-hitter, the pitcher does not allow any hits. There is a 0 in the hit column. The pitcher is allowed to walk batters and still get a no-hitter. If an error is committed, the error is charged to the fielder and is not ruled a hit. In a no-hitter, players can reach base by virtue of a walk or a fielding error. Technically, a pitcher can throw a no-hitter and still allow a run or multiple runs. In a perfect game, 27 batters (3 each inning for 9 innings) bat and all record an out. A walk or fielding error automatically breaks up a perfect game. A perfect game is also a no-hitter because no hits are allowed.

A no hitter just means the pitcher pitched a complete game and there were no hits off him but there could be walks, errors, hit batters, catcher's interference or any other event where a batter could reach first base. It has to be a shutout (where no hitters don't have to be) and the only errors that can occur is on plays that don't involve a runner getting on base. (ie, a catcher not getting a pop fly in foul territory may be an error if it continues the at bat, but the runner actually gets out doesn't change the perfect game)

While Nolan Ryan had 7 no hitters, none were perfect and the record for # of perfect games is 1. No one has 2.

if theres an error its not counted as a hit. so technicly its still a no hitter.
walks also dont count as hits. you can walk the bases loaded and give up an error insid the park hr and technically its still a no hitter.
a perfect game means no batter reaches a base safe, including errors
