a few months ago my best bought her one and my daughter was over the moon. She loved it so much.

Today she told me that she knew a girl in her class that was from a poor family and didnt have any thing of real value that belonged to just her. They just graduated and so my daughter gave the girl her Ipod as a graduation gift...

Now I know the Ipod is hers to do with as she pleases and it shows what type of good and decent person my daughter is....but at the same time...it was a gift from another person to her...that person(my friend) might get upset now if she finds out what happened. Do you think I should tell her(or my daughter for that matter) or just keep quiet and hope the subject never comes up?

First...go find a mountain...

Second...climb to the very top...

Third...Scream out to the world what your daughter just did!

Fourth...buy your daughter a replacement IPod...and quietly ask her to keep this one

You have got to be just about the proudest parent! Reading this story has done one thing for me...it has given me faith in "our" children - with so much bad happening in the world - with kids - 32 kids killed this school year in Chicago through violence...

Go get that daughter of yours and give her a hug so tight that she'll never forget it! (tell her it is from all of us...who are VERY PROUD of her!)

Why would you want to keep it quiet? I would be so proud of her, I would tell everyone. I work and a lot of my money isn't for me, I give it to some of the kids I know that are having a hard time! If I'm not wanting for anything why shouldn't we help out people that need it. The kids I help out once in awhile all have kids and need some help! My first three checks were given away and I'm poor as a churchmouse when it comes to money. Just be thankful that you raised this incredible person! Tell the person that give this present to your daughter and be proud, don't hide it.

If she were my daughter I would hug her and tell her how proud I am of her but that if something like this happens again to discuss it with the person who gave her the gift. Either that or just tell her how glad you are that she is so thoughtful. I think it is a wonderful and selfless thing that she did and I'd be very tempted to buy her another for Christmas if I were you:)

Keep quiet...she might not like hearing it but at the same time as time passed she might come to think it was a good thing. I think it's best not to mention it.

You can always get a used one from ebay to replace it if you thought it was necessary anyway.

I agree, let it lie. If it comes up, just explain to your friend what was done. If she is a good friend, she will be just a proud of your daughter's actions as you are.

that was a very good thing that ur daughter did.... i mean seriously.... i myself would never have done that..LOL!

the last option is the best. she is so kind so do not disclose what your doughtier has done for moral support to your friend.

I think that is better
