1968 Detroit Tigers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4 games to 3. Cy Young winners Denny McLain and Bob Gibson. McLain was a 31 game winner..hasn't been done since. Gibson had an ERA of just over 1, 1.17 if i remember. All-time Tiger Al Kaline and stolen base expert Lou Brock for the Cards. St. Louis took a 3-1 game lead with Gibson setting a strike out record in game one. Tiger pitcher Mickey Lolich won game two and hit a grand slam home run. Tiger manager, Mayo Smith, made a strategic move bringing in outfielder Mickey Stanley to play shortstop to boost the Tigers offense. The other big managerial move was to pitch Lolich in game 7 against Gibson after Lolich had won game 5. Lolich went the distance and beat Gibson and the Cards for a great comeback by the Tigers and the most exciting series I've ever seen.

1991 Twins and Braves. Game 7, 10 innings after 6 great games.

Post season, though, the 2005 White Sox put on a clinic. Best played whole post season by one team I ever saw.

Mine was the 1988 world series, watching Kirk Gibson hit that dramatic homer and limping around the bases. I was at that game in person, as a 10 year old kid. Talk about living the american dream!

The 86 one was quite enjoyable as was 91. I am not a fan of sweeps or Yankee victories. So, that knocks off a few in the last decade.

2001 and 2002 were both enjoyable
