I hate the neighbors above me?

I know hate is strong but i really do they are the worst neighbors ever. We have to hear them all night the tv the bed 7:30 this morning they were vaccuming, the freaking 110lb girl walks like a cow (the lady that lived above me before was like 350 and she was never as loud as this other girl) they do stuff just to piss us off, but when our alarm went off in the morning at 5:30 they started banging on our ceiling real loud but we have to deal with theirs at 3:30 most days. We also have patios out back and everytime i go out there's cigarette butts and matches all over the place i've already complained but they don't care they keep doing it to be a55holes i think, it's 2 guys and 2 girls, and they're stupid they went to one of my neighbors and talked **** saying that our alarm won't be going off anytime soon because they taught us a lesson i guess thinking that the neighbor wouldn't say something we don't know what they did yet but i guess we'll find out soon.

So how am i supposed to deal with neighbors like this? i'm not gonna move i've been here almost 5 years they haven't even finished up a year yet. i wanna get back at them but what can you do to people above you?

i've talked to the and complained to the landlord and it just gets worse and worse i don't know what to do anymore they're driving me nuts.

i used to have neighbours like that . It was torture...I tried talking to them and it got worse..I complained to the super and nothing happened. I finally moved. Then I found out that they moved a month later..go figure..I feel very empathetic to you..sorry..hope it works out..

OH, my goodness. Chances are you won't have to move. If they're being obnoxious, Call the landlord. Everytime. Be fair, a loud radio is okay at 3pm, not 3 am. Maybe i can make your day. I moved last November to get away from a mooching, lowlife, welfare pup who never worked but had everything given to here. Yes, it pisses me off cuz I have to work for a living. She would mooch rides, food anything. So anyway I moved away from an apartment I lived in for 5 years. Low and behold, I came home last week and guess who's unloading a moving truck into the apartment next door? You got it. I quess it's meant to be my cross to bear. I'm trying to remain calm. I've not called the office yet, I'm trying to be fair. Twice already I've been disturbed by the noise level. I politely asked them to turn the bass down. Two nights ago the teenage daughter and a friend were drinking out front. The my grandson pulled up with a friend and were talking to the girls as boys do and the police stopped by to see what was happening they smelled alcohol and made all the kid's take breathilyzers. The girls got tickets for MIP's. I'm being tolerant. So sweetie I hope this all works out for you, but be careful what you ask for ,IT could be worse.

oh revenge is sweet isn't it........
call the cops and say your hear what sounds to be a domestic dispute, blare your music at say 3:30 in the morning, have pizzas delivered upstairs, call and have a cab sent for someone up there, hose of your patio and hit all their windows at 7:00 am, or 11:00 at night, get a syringe and fill it w/ skunk scent or something like it, sold at hunting stores, and stick it in a crack in their car windows, and fill it up, they'll eventually realize that your crazy, and leave you alone

OK here's what you can do, it'll cost but it's worth it: rent the flat above theirs and be as loud as you can from morning till early the next morning for a few weeks. They'll feel sorry but unable to do anything.

Since it seems you've tried speaking to them about your concerns to no avail, I'd suggest speaking to the building supervisor / landlord. If that fails file a noise complaint, disturbing the peace....Don't stoop to their level of vindictive neighbor, though. It gives them too much power!! Good luck with that.....

Pound on the ceiling with a broom handle like the neighbors downstairs from us do...call the landlord, or police as a last resort...I feel your pain, I absolutely hate my next door neighbor...

your lucky its just the ppl above you, i hate both neighbours on either side...
keep a diary of what they do..
take pictures of the cigarette buds and keep one put it in a plastic bag..
if you have a recordable camera record the noise and what time it is..
if they have their music on or are really noisy after 10:30 atleast then they are violating laws, and causing noise pollution, call the police..
if worst comes to worst and u end up going to court, youll have evidence.. and theyll probably get evicted

Noise issues in condos or apartments and extremely common if not mandantory. Wecome to the club. The best procedure is to first try to talk to them nicely. If that doesn't work you need to contact your landlord.

Give them a dose of there own medicine:
Wait until you know they are asleep and take a broom,start hitting at the ceiling....bang of few pot & pans together.

Go to your landlord and *****. Or just cut power lines, shut off the water lines, or something like that. :) best of luck. Check your power lines and phone lines that are associated to your alarm... they may have cut/spliced them...
