As this still hasn t really been answered to what you ve asked, here s some better details for you or for anyone else who reads this looking for answers. You really don t want to wear a Speedo all the way up at your waist (which is the narrowest region and is generally above the belly button). A Speedo instead is worn on the hips, though a 4-inch sides may fall a bit higher up on the body than, say, the ones worn by Olympic swimmers. As far as penile placement, most speedos are designed so that you point down. Your two realistic options are down or to the side. Testes shouldn t have to be rearranged. As far as bulge, being penis-down will actually cover some of that, but you re not going to have a flat front. With the shorter-sided Speedos, they re often worn so that the front comes up just enough to cover the base of the penis and so that the back just covers the buttocks. The most important part, though, is to work with the cut that you have. If yours has higher sides, you won t wear yours at the same level as those Olympic swimmers. Pull the Speedo up so that it holds everything but not so high that you feel like you re damaging anything. Also, if you wear them lower than your cut is intended, you can risk them coming off while swimming. So don t wear them at or below the widest portion of your hips.

It's a good idea. I was out with a friend in Perth (W.Oz) and spotted a nice bit of beach. Had I been wearing a pair of Speedo, I would have gone in in a flash. As it was, I had to go in 'au natural'. Think how quickly you could rescue a drowning person - just like Superman, off with the togs and straight into the water. Might affect the procreation, though.

Could you? Yes. Should you? NO.
Speedos and other bathing suits are made of spandex and lycra. These materials are not moisture wicking, nor are they intended to be worn UNDER clothes. The moisture from your body will not be filtered out properly and in turn can create a uncomfortable situation healthwise/sanitarily.
The same reason you wouldn't swim in Calvin Klein boxer briefs, is why you wouldn't want to wear speedos as underwear.
Obviously, if you HAD to you could, but you shouldn't.

i have worn my (nylon) speedo on back-packing treks. they are light weight, and can be rinsed in a creek and they will dry in a matter of minutes, so no need to bring extra pairs of underwear. never been a big lycra guy, so i don't know about the whicking/breathable issues mentioned here, but the nylon ones don't bother me. you might also get them a size or two bigger than normal. no need to sing soprano...

sure nothing wrong with wearing it for underware. Thats what people do in summer cause you never know when you go swimming again so they wear it under their clothes instead of undergarments.

yes you can, i wouldnt recommend doing it often though, besides the fact of comfort and sweatyness etc its not good for the trunks. they were not designed for wear under cloating and trunk fabric doesnt withstand friction with other cloathing well.
once wont harm the trunks but doing it often will make your trunks wear and tear more quickly.

I don't think it is a good idea. Bathing suits don't allow for much ventilation, and your junk needs to breathe.
