If you are just looking for enjoyment:
The Man with No Name

The Outlaw Josie Wales
and Tombstone
To me they are all the same and picking between them is like picking between your children. The best is the one you have to protect at that moment.

Good question. For an older western, I love McLintock with John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara, Stephanie Powers, and Patrick Wayne (John's real life son). It is so funny and I remember Dad taking us to see it at the drive in when we were kids. We all laughed so hard. For a newer western,even though it's over 20 years old, I loved Silverado. It has a good cast, with Kevin Kline, Kevin Costner, Scott Glenn, and Danny Glover. Though we couldn't ever forget Dances With Wolves, right? Awesome movie, but I somehow don't think of it as a western as much as I think of it as a movie about American Indians.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Great movie and it has Paul Newman AND Robert Redford. How can you go wrong?
