Yes, First buy the game then a monthly fee to help keep the servers running that support the game.
Because the game is a MMORPG and can support up 1000's players online it needs some really powerful servers. Everyone pays the montly fee to help keep the servers running.
Here is my personal opinon about MMORPG's, Don't join them unless they have been most recently released. This is the best time to play the games. WoW is kind of old now and still is a good game but not near as fun as it was.

Yes, you have to buy the game from a store like Best Buy or Gamestop then its a $15 monthly fee. I think there are some free trials available if you just want to try it out first. I'm not sure though, I've never played the game.
Personally, I like Guild Wars. You have to buy the game (buy it new, not used), but no monthly fees. Totally free.

yes u can buy the basic game for like 20 bucks u get the discs aswell and one month of free playing also after ur month is up u mot keep paying like 15 dollars a month - this is worth best answer i really want!!!!!!!

I have heard you just can download the game and search on the internet for cracked servers... I've heard so don't hope on it ;)
