if the operating system is on that harddrive yes, I have 3 hard drives, only one has the operating system.

Yes. And depending on the problem you are having it may be the only way to get rid of it. Had to go through it a couple weeks ago.

Make sure you back up everything that needs to be saved before you start.

No. As in the previous stated, formatting your not ordinary rigidity erases each and every thing (it sometimes leaves fragments that would want to be utilized to salvage thoughts inspite of the indisputable fact that the elements required to finish that are uncommonly uncommon). in case you want to save the operating equipment, yet delete each and every thing else, you'll need the disk you used to position in it contained in the first position (or another attitude to installation) so that you'll re-installation it when you wipe the rigidity.

Yes it will, but it can easily be reinstalled if you have the disks for that operating system.

I don't this ever been done, but yes, everything will be deleted, and I do mean everything.

Thissl depend, do you have more than one Hdd. if you do, look for a PROGRAM FILES folder, and a WINDOWS folder. if both are present, then if you delete it, your OS will be gone too*. so if it dosnt, you can w/o loosing windows(*applys to windows only, as i dont know linux)
