Why do the Leftist wacko Democrats want to let the tax breaks expire ?

I already pay $150,000 per year in taxes under the current system .
My company is constantly harassed by the leftist wacko Environmental agencies and now more taxes ?

You people need to stop smoking pot and start listening to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

They forget to tell you when they are complaining about the 1%.

The Democrat tax bill will raise the lower limit from 10 to 15% thus move 5 million working poor back to paying taxes that were exempt under the current Bush Tax bill.

Also the shell game they play on the poor is yes by raising the tax on the rich, but it is a small percent of thier disposable income so when you adjust it the poor under the democrat plan will pay more in taxes adjusted to thier disposable income than the top 2 %.

Also the left wants to bring back the Marriage penalty, who does that effect more low to middle class so the argument about the left looking out for the middle class is another sound bite.

All in all, the democrat plan is just another broad tax hike (Largest in history) to fund spending.

so who really is looking out for the poor...

All the tax breaks were given to the rich and powerful while the working and middle classes as per usual get shafted. This is why the democrats are not in favour of tax breaks like those. How would you feel if the goverment decided to pick your social group to get shafted and pay 75% of the taxes while the working and middle class only paid 10 dollars a month, I think you would complain. So wake up and smell the coffee and when a democrat gets elected president then we will see social change rather than haveing the rest of the world laughing at the US for having a joke for a leader

Environmental agencies; let me take you back to the late 1960's, driving past Indiana steel mills on the interstate and having to pull off the road because of the clouds of orange smoke that blew over the highway and made visibility zero. Or the little suburban forest preserve with streams so polluted that you could see the sewage floating down the creek and signs were posted "DO NOT TOUCH THE WATER" . This is what we had without environmental protections.

You go right on back to the days of unregulated corporate "free market" management of environmental questions, but please do it on your own little island; I don't want to have to go there again.

You need to start listening to the people who actually know what they're talking about and aren't just entertainers out there for ratings.

Because they can't for the life of them understand how tax cuts actually increase revenue receipts to the government. It has happened every time taxes are cut, Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush to name the last 3. Each time receipts of revenue to the US government increase and it is beyond their ability to comprehend how it works. And as far as the tax cuts to the 'Rich" as Democrats like to say, ask them how they define "rich" so they can get away with that ignorant statement. They define "rich" as a family of 2 adults earning a gross income of 40,000$ a year or more as "rich". So according to the Democrats, 2 married people making 20,000 a year each are "rich". Unbelievable, I had no idea I was "rich" trying to make my house note and car note and support my 2 children.with that income would be impossible.
