Basically, a matrix is a rectangular table of numbers consisting of abstract quantities that can be added and multiplied. To be possessed by the idea of a matrix is to be in a state where you can't focus on anything else. You need to get away from the computer and chill outside for a bit.

Lao Tzu...the matrix is the mother.
In Taoist philosophy, the matrix is the reality out of which the illusion of the world has been created. We are in the Matrix, we see an illusion. A construct of our own mind. We see an arabic looking person walking the road, we feel nervous. Don't believe me, I bet you would be very worried if you were on a flight with 20 devoit muslims on that same plane. These people may well be kindly, nice people who work for peace and international cooperation. But we will feel scared.
The solution is to look through the illusion of "reality" and see the matrix (as neo and the Buddha did). Then we can overcome, fear, hate, lust...end poverty, war and suffering.
How to do this? It should take only 10,000 lifetimes, or perhaps when we can upload wisedom we will do it in a day.

Matrix is the metapho how ailienated we are from our sense of reality and identity.
Matrix is nothing but a entertaiinment film full of violence and still disguised with intellectual nonsense.
The popularity this film gained just shows how empty and ailenated we are in this computerized modern civilization.
If you are possessed by matrix , why dont you hold the black mobile phone and say
" I want to get out of here"

Are we stuck in a reality that we didn't create and cannot control? OR maybe we can do something about it.
When you look in the mirror, you don't see somebody else's image but your own. So, at least, you could consider the possibility that the same might happen when you look everywhere else and that everything you see is within you.
Good luck!
