It's the supermarket's revenge. All of them have a dodgy wheel. This is so that the staff can all have a laugh at the Christmas party, watching us struggle with a fully loaded trolley veering wildly off into the shelving!!!!

I think the majority of the trolleys have dodgy wheels. You have a much less chance of getting one that works perfectly in terms of probability. Thats just the way things are though.

Don't you know that trolleys are autonomous beings? They intensely dislike being pushed in a particular direction and therefore deliberately thwart shoppers' efforts to control them. Some of them, depressed and saddened by their lack of freedom throw themselves into canals or go on wild joy rides carrying alcopop infused teenagers down ramps and across carpark wastelands.

grip the trolley by the sides of the basket section. This helps stabalise the trolley.
Be sure to check that no debris has been caught in the wheel.

I am in the US, where we have the same problem.
Described as a crappy wheel on a kart.
I like getting them all lined up and pushing them into the river.

So do I every time! mis aligned and wobble at speed or half the rubber tire is worn away on one side thump thump thump. And pulling out several to get to the new shiny one is not an option.
