No she wasn't....once they figured out how to teach her to communicate she was able to express her thoughts and feelings to those around her. My grandfather actually had met her and he said that she made the best apple pie he had ever tasted! hehe! I think that in the time era she lived that was pretty darn miraculous that she was taught how to be self sufficient.

No , she is actually dead now, But she was an amazing woman. She overcame her handicap with the help of her teacher Ann Sullivan. ever hear of Braille and sign language? Hellen Keller became an author and a lecturer. Wow..... you need to learn about her better. Havent you learned about her in school? People make fun of her, I dont get it..... she rose above her disablities and made Abilities. SHE WENT TO COLLEGE FOR GOD SAKE! She was a very intelligent woman. Study up on her. type in Helen Keller on your search engine and see what you find and read it!
