There is no point

To encourage participation and reward great answers, Yahoo! Answers has a system of points and levels. The number of points you get depends on the specific action you take. The points table below summarizes the point values for different actions. While you can't use points to buy or redeem anything, they do allow everyone to recognize how active and helpful you've been. (And they give you another excuse to brag to your friends.)

Points Table Action Points

Begin participating on Yahoo! Answers One time: 100
Ask a question -5
Choose a best answer for your question 3
No Best Answer was selected by voters on your question Points Returned: 5
Answer a question 2
Deleting an answer -2
Log in to Yahoo! Answers Once daily: 1
Vote for a best answer 1
Vote for No best answer 0
Have your answer selected as the best answer 10
Receive a "thumbs-up" rating on a best answer that you wrote (up to 50 thumbs-up are counted) 1 per "thumbs-up"

Levels are another way to keep track of how active you (and others) have been. The more points you accumulate, the higher your level. Yahoo! Answers recognizes your level achievements with our special brand of thank you's!

And finally, as you attain higher levels, you'll also be able to contribute more to Yahoo! Answers - you can ask, answer, vote and rate more frequently.

**So get some points by picking this as the best answer :)**

Well...........................
I didn't understand your question. But I did understand that you are very bad at spelling as you used 'waht' instead of 'what'.

Bye

I gave stupid answer to your stupid question just for two points. And that's what the basic idea of gaining point and level in Yahoo Answers.

Please improve your grammar. There is no use of using 'the' before Yahoo Answers.

For me, that's so straightforward as understanding that i'd be helping someone out. i imagine that's interesting and extremely addictive! imagine about it, human beings global are partaking and speaking. Why do human beings continually anticipate some thing in go back even as they do some thing for some different person? basically have interesting and luxuriate in! no one is making you ask or answer questions! If that's no longer some thing you want to do . . . do not take section. each and every to his own I continually say.

The points are used to ask questions and when you answer a question you gain 2 points and if your answer is chosen best answer you get 10 points. the more points you have the higher level you are. i guess the level shows how good you are at answering. your level also determines how many questions you can ask in a day and how many you can can answer in a day

We are just here to help each other out, if you need an answer then yahoo has it.

Love to those that help you. Love thy neighbour. Its true ever if you dont believe in god most people still breech it.

So basically we love to love, help each other out a little, the points just make it interesting to shol like "oh look that guy knows quite alot of info he has 50 best answers!"

And so on...

To get all of us addicted to the simple thrill of getting 2 points for answering a question, 10 points for having your answer chosen as the best answer, 1 point for voting a best answer, 3 points for selecting the best answer for your question and minusing 5 points from you for asking a question.

That's the basic.

The easy way Yahoo suspends accounts without appeal makes the whole process seem meaningless.

This is a great forum, to spend time, have fun, get a little
education and sound off if that's what you want. Unlike the
chat room, you can quit anytime and no one really minds.

i think Yahoo should now start donating $1 ( OK, 50 cents if a dollar is too much to spend in name of social responsibility) for every thousand points to a charity of member's choice.
