I heard a lot of stuff about computers and how harmful they can be, but now I heard about when electromagnetic radiation affects some chemical in our brains, so that chemical needs a day to restore and that can cause problems.

I hardly wake up. I dont work hard, even if I live and work on a farm (modern technology = less work). I am about 4 hours per day on a computer. 1 hour in the morning (cause there is nothing to do) and then few hours in the evening (talking to my friends on msn). I go to sleep at about 11 and wake up at six. this is just fine for me to sleep, I can wake up, but there are days when I just cant wake up. I would just sleep.

sometimes I go to bed at 9 and I already wake up (without alarm clock) at 4 or 5. I just wake up, open my eyes and I cant sleep further. but this morning I fell asleep, I missed half of the work (luckly father wasnt pissed) and I am still sleepy.

btw I'm 19 and male.

The reason for your sleep disturabnces may not be the computer in your case. If you were always in front of the PC, a different matter.

Yup! I worked on the mainframe and PC as computer programmer for 5 years. It did affect my health.

Some employers and computer sales people would debunk the idea. But personally, I dont believe them. There were several of us who even had tumor growth. So I switched jobs.

Now as a health worker, I studied in class that computers do indeed emit electromagnetic radiation. The effect on people depends on their state of health. Meaning, if the person's immune system is weak, that person tends to be more affected by these radiations, as compared to a very healthy and strong person. People who have sleep and rest less than 8 hours, do not eat a balance diet, and are under a lot of stress tend to be counted on the weak side.

I believe it does. I know that if I am on the computer more than a few minutes, especially late at night, I have a hard time going to bed and feel "all charged up". Then after I sleep, I feel hung over. I don't believe all the radiation or the flashing of the screen is a good thing.
