Okay..

1. DON'T BELIEVE IN DANDRUFF SHAMPOOS. IT MAKES YOUR HAIR DRIER.

2. In applying shampoo, mix it with water. (1/2 shampoo and 1/2 water at your palm)

3. Avoid scratching your scalp to death. It causes more flakes.

4. During your free time, massage your scalp with your fingertips until you feel the natural oil.

5. Don't use strong hair colors or chemicals.

6. Use a conditioner everyday and a shampoo with conditioner every other day. (MONDAY: shampoo and conditioner, TUESDAY: conditioner, WEDNESDAY: Shampoo and conditioner)

7. Don't expose your hair to too much heat or too much cold.

8. Use warm water in washing your hair.

9. ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS FACT (PROVEN): No chemical in the market, even the most popular dandruff shampoo, is effective. There is no product that can treat dandruff.

You need to wash your hair more regularly. Try washing it every alternate day with a mild shampoo or an anti-dandruff shampoo like Head and Shoulders, and once a week, use a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo like Selsun. Don't continue with the same shampoo for a long period of time as this encourages build-up. You should change your shampoo frequently.

I have always found that using a good conditioning shampoo combined with rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar to work for me. I like the Dove shampoos and conditioners, and then once or twice a week, just after I have rinsed the conditioner from my hair I apply 1-2 cups of apple cider vinegar (depending on the length of my hair). The vinegar may sting a bit at first, especially if you have scratched your head too much, but after consistent use, you hardly feel anything if not nothing at all. (For men, shave after using the vinegar not before, or your face will be quite tingly)Leave the vinegar on for as long as your head will allow you or about 3 mintues and then rinse. The vinegar not only helps to control the dandruff, but will also make your hair very shiny. The vinegar is also very good for face, and helps to control acne and blackheads. I've used vinegar on my hair now for 5 years, and when I use it regularly, never I have dandruff.

If you have really severe problems, try using coconut oil on your hair about every 10 to 14 days, along with using the vinegar. Coconut oil is cheapest at Indian/Pakistani grocery stores. Work it into your hair, and leave it for at least two hours, preferably over night and then shampoo out. Don't use conditioner just after using the oil, as the oil is a much more effective conditioner. You may have to shampoo twice to get all the oil out. Then rinse your hair with vinegar. I prefer to use Apple Cider Vinegar, but White Vinegar works well also. Using the oil and vinegar together will also help your kids from getting lice in their hair as the oil sufficates the lice and the vinegar dissolves the glue that holds the eggs onto the hair.

Put 2 table spoon of pure lemon juice in ur shampoo n use 2 days once. Leave it for 5 minutes on ur scalp n then rise with water. Stop when there is no dandruff on ur hair coz lemon juice can make ur hair colour fade.

Use a dandruff shampoo like head and shoulders.

If that doesn't work then go see a doctor, they can prescribe other medications to get rid of any dry scalp issues.
