I studied taxonomy and systematics (study of classification of plants)....at this level there are discplines thatt cover both zoology and botany and is differentiated by saying something like....plant ecology, plant biochemistry, plant pathology, plant biotechnology, plant genetics, plant anatomy and ultrastructure, botanical microbiology.....its pretty adaptable and you could make up just about any combination of names of areas and it would hit on someone who is doing that as their topic area.....
