Ooo. This is a good question. I've been reading people comments about this one. Majority of people think that Clay would win only because he was younger and much quicker.
Personaly I think Muhammad Ali would beat Cassious Clay. I think this is because not just of my experience of being a boxer but any sport you play is that you always improve your boxing/sport and never decrease you skills unless something is wrong with you. Like Ali in the end of his career. People keep thinking of him when he was fighting his 3rd time heavy weight belt, slow and mental (but still a good fighter). but if you think of Muhammad ali as his first time heavy weight belt or when he first changed his name to Muhammad Ali, he would kill Cassious Clay because Muhammad Ali has alot more experience and alot more weight. Weight does matter when your taking hits trust me, get hit by someone who weigh's at least 25+ pound more then you. It hurts more then getting hit by some one who weigh's -25 pounds less than you.
Another thing people say is that Cassious Clay is alot more faster and Muhammad ali would get more tierd. First of all Have you ever seen Muhamad Ali tierd in the first place? I dont think so, so with Muhammad Ali first heavy weight belt would dominate Cassious Clay. He's stronger, still fast, and alot more smarter from all his experience from other fights, of course Muhammad Ali would win.
Dont think of the Muhammad Ali we all know today think about when he first changed his name. He was one hell of a fighter.

You could asked several other questions pertaining to the same fighter like:
Maxwell Antonio Loach vs Mathew Saad Mahhamad or Edward Lee Gregory vs Eddie Mustafa Muhammad. Just a thought. Ali was a little bit wiser than Clay. Not to mention Ali between 1964 -1967 and could have been all the way to 1970 was unbeatable. Ali by TKO in 7.

I think Clay would win because Ali would not be able to wear him down as he did other fighters. Ali could not even handle Spinks in their first fight, although he may have been a bit past his prime at that point. It was be that same kind of fight.
THe young Clay would tatoo Ali.

Depends on what you mean. Young tyson as in 1985 before world champion tyson? And Clay as before Liston? I feel that tyson will win. Tyson was still under the legendary trainer Cus D'amato so he would be focused and be in great hands. Ali on the other hand wouldn't be as strong or good because he really flourished in the 70s. I feel that Tyson would be great under Cus and Ali will fall. For a 12 rounder, Tyson UD For a 15 rounder Tyson MD. I know I will get heat for saying Tyson, but when Tyson is under Cus D'amato he is very good

Clay would win. He was quicker and still had the power. Ali due to his age and layoff from boxing began to fight in spurts and took too many punches. Still a great fight but Clay would dictate the tempo and have the energy to finish the fight.
