In your parish church you would have an RCIA coordinator who would be running a program for people who wish to become catholics. There is always a need for members of the parish community to be part of the support group. It does not matter how green or mature you are as a catholic, but you'll gain heaps of practical insights of things Catholic at a level that most can handle without being too overwhelming.
Contact your parish office and try to get into one of their RCIA programs. The sessions are interactive and lots of discussions takes place and what more you experience the transformation of those coming in to be received in the Catholic Church and in yourself too. I suggest you give it a try.
Alternatively try to join one of the Small Christian Communities in your parish. Ask if there are any groups like this; they too will be helpful to you because you will be among friends.
