I have lost 28lbs so far, and have gone down from a size 16 (US 12) to a size 12 (US 8). I feel and look much better, and I have been following a healthy eating plan and exercising most days.

I still have quite flabby upper arms, although I have lost over 2 inches from them. I am doing arm exercises, and can feel muscles becoming more defined underneath the flab, but I am having trouble shifting the fat from them. I have been doing this since January now, and although my arms look better, they still look quite fat to me.

How can I tone my arms without developing big muscles? I don't want big muscly arms, just slim toned ones.

Just keep doing whatever you are doing. The more weight you lose, the less flab there will be on your arms. I have lost 45lbs and my arms are much smaller now, although there is still some flab. I still have about 25lbs to go. The weight on your body comes off in certain areas, and the midsection/ waist is usuallly one of the first places to lose weight, whereas hips (buttocks), thighs, and arms can drop in size at any time. Don't worry, you will soon see the flab start to drop. A woman will not get very big muscles unless she has very high testosterone levels or very hard work (strict diet and weight training exercises). You will just become healthier, be able to lift heavier objects, and become more toned. Besides, a person is supposed to be able to lift there own body weight.

You seem to be doing a great job. Congratulations on your new found body. As for your arms, you will need to continue to the arm exercises and continue working your other muscles too. You still need to get active doing cardio to help you burn more of those calories. Keep doing a super job on your food and you will see those arms look very lean and sleek. I am curious as to what you do for the arms and wouldn't mind recommending some if your interested.

Best way to lose weight anywhere is a proper diet, lower carbs/fats should help. Also a good way to lose fat on arms is when you go for a walk at night or whenever buy sand wristbands or light weights. Not heavy because you dont want beefy arms. But maybe 1 or 2lb ones and have them on your wrists/dumbells when you walk

Exercising different ways get different results. If you use weights, the more weight you use the bigger the muscles will get. If you just use some light weight and constantly exercise, you tone your arms without the big muscles.

he metabolic powers specific foods have to make your physique burn a lot more body fat.” It is a way of rating foods, based on “how numerous calories your physique is going to burn just breaking down the nutrients each and every time you consume a specific food.”
Therefore, you are not alone in this battle.

I've never seen a man or woman get "big" by accident. it takes a sound diet and years of hardcore dieting to become very muscular for a woman. I would worry about becoming too muscular once you have gained control of your body fat
