Earth goes through cycles, also. But the data clearly shows that this particular warming is mostly unnatural and caused by us. A couple of good pictures taken from the scientific literature:

Yes, however the important difference with the latest cycle of global warming is that it is being exacerbated by people.
1: We removed enourmous quantities of oil (a thermal insulator) from the earth and replaced it with water (a thermal conductor). This gets the heat from the inside to the outside.
2: We burn the oil (and coal, and wood) which increases the average temperature.
3: The resulting emmisions (mainly carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide) increase the greenhouse effect (like putting a clear blanket around the earth) and cause acid rain
4: Some of the oil is used to make the solvents and propellants used in aerosols (which deplete the ozone layer) and let more UV (the bad kind of sunlight) through.
5: The light (and heat) from the sun passes through the blanket and warms the ground up even more.
6: Acid rain kills the trees and other plants, these plants normally help to remove the carbon dioxide from the air.

The Earth is constantly going through different cycles of climatic change. All of the hype on global warming is alarming. In Earths long history there have been countless cycles of warming and cooling, some more spectacular than others. Volcanic activity, stuff from space slamming into the planet, magnetic pole shifts, blah blah blah...........have altered Earths climate many times. In every case the Earth has recovered and life has flourished. It just goes to show how resilient the Earth really is. Humans probably aren't helping by releasing carbon/carbon dioxide that is locked up in fossil fuels and such in such a short time (geologically speaking), but it isn't a planet killer either. It is important to remember that geologically speaking the Earth is still on the tail end of the most recent ice age that occurred in full swing just 12,000 years ago. It is highly probable the Earth will experience swings in climate as the planet warms just from the simple fact all the ice that once covered North America and Europe has retreated and the "refridgeration effect" from all that snow and ice is gone. Yeah humans have dumped a bit of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, but not enough even yet to alarm the entire world and tell everyone to stop burning fossil fuels altogether. As a collective entity the human race isn't capable of unlocking all of the carbon in the entire planet yet. so relax and light up that charcoal BBQ and drink a beer and forget about this bullshit...........

You've got your logic wrong. Earth has and will always go through warming and cooling cycles. What someone should have to convince you, is that this is NOT a natural cycle.
And scaring you towards a conclusion is just flat out wrong. One of the reasons most people come to believe in man-made global warming is that they are frightened by the claimed consequences.

Yes, the earth does go through a cycle, and my main source for saying that it does is from 'An Inconvinient Truth', but since so many people dismiss that movie for one reason or another, I must say that we are a system within a system, within a system and everything effects everything else as we are all connected. So, as earth goes through its normal cycle (ex. the seasons) it can be easily thrown off by phenomenons such as urban heat (check it out: http://ezinearticles.com/?id=456182). Not just CO2 emissions, although that is one of the biggest causes. So, yes there are facts, its just up to you to either be ignorant and ignore these facts and dismiss them as a pop culture fad(many people think america is just a culture of fear and that this is part of it. Its not, look around you, ITS HOT!!!), or you can realize the reality and try to join others in making a difference so that we all dont fry like eggs as the temperatures rise......

yes the earth has gone through several ice ages - and there is plenty of evidence - by drilling deeper into the earth you can measure the different amount of chemicals in the atmosphere at the time. you can see it for yourself if you go to places such as dover and look at the cliffs. an ice age is when the poles are covered in ice - so we are still in an ice age. the problem is that we appear to be coming out of it very fast. and nature may not be able to keep up and also us humans are still arguing of who own which bit of rock or if the world is really that old - fundamentalists believe the world is only a thousand years old!

Our planet is constantly changing. Natural cycles balance and regulate Earth and its atmosphere. Human activities can cause changes to these natural cycles.
Life on Earth is well adapted to our planet’s cycles. In our solar system, Earth is the only planet with air to breathe, liquid water to drink, and temperatures that are just right for life as we know it. Because our existence depends on our planet and its climate, we need to understand how what we do affects the Earth.
Scientists try to figure out how our planet works by studying Earth’s cycles. Changes to Earth’s cycles can cause changes in the climates of our planet. The more we know about these cycles, the more we will understand how humans are affecting them and how that might change the planet. Click on the cycles below to learn more about how they work!

there is but they're declaring it global warming because in the past 14 years, we've shot past a lot of records when the earth was going through a warmer year.

If the Globe didn't warm we would still be in the Ice Age. It also gets hot on the inside that's why we have volcanoes erupt. What SUV causes the center of the earth to boil. Use your brain.

There sure are facts to support that theory.

and here too:
http://www.livescience.com/environment/050330_earth_tilt.html
... and I'm spent.
PS. It is important to note that the natural cycles of the earth are not (or at least shouldn't be) called into question. The question is: are we making it worse or having any effect at all? What role, if any, do humans play in climate change? Those are the questions of contention.
Hope this helps!
