i split from my ex last year after dating throughout the summer.I split with him as i didn't have feelings for him and thought it was best not to lead him on.He's my window cleaner so i can't exactly avoid him.I didn't know how to act when he was back on the scene so i just gave him dirty looks and made fun of him.I now realise this was childish and made me look like an idiot.Shall i apologise? I have his e-mail address..
But i am with someone else right now so i dunno whether getting back in touch with an ex is the right thing to do.
Please help!

No, I don't think it's a good idea for you to e-mail him as he may think you want to stay in touch, plus one e-mail will lead to another, as you answer his, then he answers back and so on. I don't think your boyfriend would be too happy if you were in touch with your ex, and it would be unfair to him.
Just don't give him anymore dirty looks when you see him, and certainly don't make fun of him.
If you really really want to apologise, wait until he's cleaning your windows. Quickly say sorry for the way you acted whenever it was, and walk away before you become engaged in a conversation. That way it should be clear you want to apologise and that's all.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do. If you do decide to e-mail him, why don't you discuss it your boyfriend first and see how he feels about the whole thing. Because, at the end of the day, he's the one who matters here, not your ex.

Apologizing to him for acting childish and immature doesn't mean you're getting back in touch with him. Who says you had to just for saying sorry? I think it might be better if you emailed him and said, "I'm sorry for what I did back then, etc." and don't make it seem like you want him to start talking to you again. Make sure the email doesn't sound like it's coming from someone who wants a response in return.

No harm getting in touch to tell him your sorry how you acted, it'll give him some closure. You don't have to leave your new fella just to apologise.

I sometimes wish I'd stayed friends with exes, once you get over them being with someone new you have a whole history of being best friends to build on...

We all act childish sometimes when we brake up with some. The only thing you can do is let him be and once he's ready to talk to he will talk to you but untill then just keep avoiding him and giving him his space.

I clean my own window's.....sometimes. Forget it--whats done is done, you are beating yourself up over nothing here, just get on with life...incidentally, with your ex now having another girlfriend on the scene--do you really think HE is that bothered...i don't, so move on and look to the future, never mind the past.

Who has a job as a window cleaner. Apologize because anyone with a job that crappy must get made fun of a lot. He is probably depressed.

let sleeping dogs lie. By the way in some stores you can buy a big pole with a sponge - wash your own windows and tell w/c to stop cleaning them.

1.Say sorry if you really care and feel bad and cant stop thinking about it
2.Be friends unless you want to be something else
3.Tell you bf what the situation is for he wont be jealous and he finds out on his own
4. If you feel its not the right time to talk to him then wait until you feel its the right time to talk to him!!
Good Luck!!
