Whenever my mom walk or stand, she feel a very sharp pain just slightly above the knee cap and the lower part of the leg (excluding the feet). She also suspect internal injuries, which she is not very clear of what the problem is. She had already feel the pain for 1 month, and sometimes she has to raise her leg on a table just to control the pain for a while. She had seek many doctors but none can cure her pain. Even medicines like glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin sulphate can't cure the pain too.

Is there a way to cure the pain without taking any medicine but others? Is there any place in Singapore that has good physicians or doctors (beside hospitals)?

I have had knee pain on and off for over 50 years and I have invented some exercises that really help: Just be careful and do not try and do something your body can not do.
When my knee is hurting real bad, i usually lay on my stomach, then i pull myself up on my elbows and arch my back. I usually look over one shoulder, then the other to first relax the mussels in each side of my back...then i stick out my leg horizontal to my body, and keep it there until the pain I am feeling in my hip goes away...Then I lay on my back and pull my knee up to my chest...both if you can do it...but one at a time for us that can not..Then when you straighten out your leg your knee should pop, when it pops the pain will go away...it might take a long while, of doing these exercises until you finally feel some relief...Just keep doing them, and take it easy doing them...and eventually your knee will not hurt any more.
I hope this offers some relief for those of you with knee pain.

place moist hot towels on the area of pain for twenty minutes at a time, several times a day. Hopefully this will relax the muscles and take down any inflammation.
