Use a database package (Access, Filemaster, Open Office, etc) and create one yourself. All you need are a few fields: stock code, description, price, supplier, quantity, reorder level, alternative supplier, and maybe bin no., shelf no. Create a few entry, printing and display screens, and you're off.
No problem.

A spreadsheet (Excel) is the most basic possible computer based system.

If you can't (or won't) use a Spreadsheet, I guess you must be expecting us to recommend some sort of "Pen & Paper" system ?

Sorry - no idea - paper based stock control stopped being used before I was born .. try the Bristsh Museum
