I think deodorant makes more of a smell and is there to diguise/overpower your own body smells. Where as anti-perspirant is designed to stop you sweating/absorb sweat rather than just cover up the smell.

Deodorants just make the area applied to smell more pleasant. Anti-perspirants as the name implies prevents the sweat glands from being more active in secreting sweat out of the area upon which it is applied to.

Anti-prespirants are not advisable since they prevent the normal reaction of the skin against a condition that necessitates sweating. Sweating is the body's normal response to heat being built up in the body. Its like a cooling system. When the body warms up it damages the tissues just like heat stroke causing death.

So avoid anti-perspirants as much as possible.

To smell good, the best solution is to observe personal hygiene at all times. Enjoy ur shower!!!

Not much of a difference except its function, but both go in the underarm.

Deoderants have a scent to reduce underarm smells, anti-persperant is to reduce wetness and at the same time dryness from a deoderant.

Deodorants are used to mask the underarm odor and don't stop you from sweating. Antiperspirants reduce the amount of sweating under your arms and cover the odor.
