When I first started particpating in Yahoo Q&A, it was a game most of the time. Sometimes I thought an answer through, but many times, I just popped off a sarcastic remark and moved on. I was very provoked by some racists and atheist foul questions or answers, and allowed myself to sink to the level of crudity and totally unbecoming behavior. I am quilty because I know better, and I have to answer for every word. I will either do better or stop participating.

Thank you for pointing out that my apology should not exclude those who are not Christians. To all of these, I do apologize and ask your forgiveness for being just another person that discredits a Holy God. I will still contend for the faith, but I will try my best to be respectful, even to those who are not.

Well God bless you, but I have never been offended by anything you have said. I've been pretty guilty of getting mad and popping off myself. I try to keep that in mind when I answer things here and just dont answer the ones that anger me.

I believe what one other person said, that your answers can be helpful if we all just kinda let God guide our fingers when we type.

When used appropriately, our words have the power to heal, encourage, help, and teach. On the otherhand, our words can also confuse, embarass, and hurt.
If you have read Job's story in (Job 19:2). In spite of all of his physical and emotional suffering, the verbal jabs of his so-called friends made his situation even worse. He challenged one of them; "How long will you torment me and crush me with words?"
We must be always watchful that our words verbal or written can carry an impact. That's why God holds me accountable for " every careless word "(Matt. 12:36).
Because of the negativity towards the Christian perspective on this forum, it is a challenge for many Christians on here. But bearing in mind our relationship with God and other fellow Christians, we need to be careful of our input and reaction to so many of these different views. We cannot be intimidated and forced to stoop to their level. We put God to shame and our fellow Christians.
God's word describes the tremendous task we face. James wrote, " No one can tame the tongue " (3:8). In verse (6) it says that the tongue " is set on fire by hell ". In our effort to change the tongue from a ' hellish fire ' to an instrument of constructive communication, we find ourselves up against a task of supernatural proportions. " Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, " but against an organized hierarchy of satanic power (Ephesians 6:12).
So, my friend, our victory lies in taking up supernatural arms-being "strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might "(v.10). Don't forget that we have the " armor of God "(vv. 14-17). Recognize the first piece of armor? Truth! Scripture tells us that the " truth of God " is our source of energy and growth (Matt.4:4 ; 1 Peter 2:2).
So in order to deal with a forum such as this we need to gear up and set forth carefully. God Bless, my friend.

John 8
1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

11"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

this entry is your beginning. you have, no doubt, encouraged other brothers/sisters in Christ to stand up for what they believe just by your honesty here. i know i am encouraged. as christians we face these struggles everyday and that is why we need to encourage each other. so thank you as i have struggled with this same thing at times. 1 Cor. 10:13

Don't worry! Every thought, emotion and word is recorded in the big black book called Akashic Records. No erasures possible. You may squirm like a snake caught in a trap - it won't help. You have to live with it and better - stay here. There are many things to learn!

Are christians the only people you're apologizing to?

All peoples have to answer for what they say, whatever faith or nonfaith they subscribe to.

We have feelings too. :``(
