please tell me what you think.... my boyfriend and i have a house together, i work in a real horrible job that makes me quite depressed. But i need to work here 1... to pay my half of bills etc and 2... cos im pregnant and have rights to maternity pay later on. My boyfriend however doesnt work he spends his day doing pointless tasks that could be done at weekends or evenings. ie going to the gym, the post office, walking the dog... yet he has enough money in the bank to pay his half of bills. Am i wrong to think this is unfair? sometimes i come home and he hasnt even put the rubbish out, or made the bed. i am furious that he thinks this is a fair partnership. He really believes that i am moaning for no reason! this is really driving a wedge between us and last night we had the biggest row yet. what should i do/say/think etc. cheers for reading!!

Lousy job, lazy boyfriend, and bringing another person in to this too??? Not much CAN be done - you picked the job, the guy, and the extra mouth to feed, so I guess it's best you somehow make the best of a bad situation!

You have every right to be upset about this. If you don't do something now, you will regret it later, I promise! You need to start preparing yourself for that baby. (congrats by the way) If he doesn't want to do anything now, just think how irritated you'll be after the baby gets there. Lousy job, cleaning house after work, taking care of baby, while he does nothing to help you.... No way!!! That's not fair. The only way a couple can make things work is to share responsibilities, talk, laugh, and be considerate of the other. Doesn't sound to me like any of that is happening. You should talk to him and make sure he understands. If he doesn't change..... You are better off without him.

Let me get this straight. He is using his savings to live on instead of save more and or help you out ?
If he was single then who cares if he using some of his savings to have an ahem 'relaxed' lifestyle.
But youre pregnant and he should act like man and care and be protective.

I have recently learned that its more important that a guy is naturally protective of a woman and cares about her best interests more than anything.

Oh and I highly suggest you go see the new movie Waitress to get perspective on this.

If he really loved you and wanted the best for you and the baby, he would work to save to buy a house and the necessities for the child and you.

Tell him to get a job or you are leaving. And what kind of man lets his pregnant girlfriend work her *** off while dicking around all day?
